Lackford Fireworks

October 18, 2007

Once again Lackford will be hosting a “bring a firework” party on Saturday 3rd November. The Gough family have allowed us to use the small triangular field to the right of Lackford Lane and the farm sheds again this year.

This year, as before we would like donations of one or two large display fireworks to be delivered to 9 Holden Rd by Friday 2nd so that Graham can see what sort of a nightmare he has to deal with!

I have asked a Westley School Mum who runs a catering van to pop along in the evening and sell Hotdogs, burgers, bacon rolls etc and give us a percentage of takings for the Community Council Church Fund.

Bonfire will be lit at 18:00

Anyone who can help build the bonfire or provide transport is very welcome to join us. Bonfire building will start on Saturday 3rd at 10:00 (If you can help please meet at the Old Bury Road bus stop).

If anyone has material they would like collected, drop me an email or call 01284 728297.

Lastly, a big favour. Please spread the word… either by printing off the attached advert (Lackford Firework Party 2007) and putting it through their letterbox or by word of mouth. I shall put up the advert on the notice board and maybe a few telegraph poles.
