Neighbourhood Watch supporters across England and Wales have been responding rapidly to the COVID-19 crisis making a positive impact within their local communities, such as partnering with other organisations in their community and getting in touch with their neighbours through a variety of methods to identify those at risk and those that can offer support.

Community Action Response
Because of the unprecedented challenge that coronavirus presents for people in every neighbourhood in the UK, this Community Action Response campaign asks for everyone to think of others; consider your actions and be kind; connect and reach out to your neighbours; make the most of online groups; support vulnerable or isolated people; and only share accurate information or advice.

Neighbourhood Watch Calling card
Neighbourhood Watch coordinators may find a calling card useful to distribute to members, particularly those who are at risk and self-isolating. You can add your details as a contact for those who may need some practical help with shopping, collecting prescriptions etc or have concerns about fraud or other crime.
It would also be useful to encourage your members to add contact details for a relative and close neighbour so these are at hand should they or anyone helping them need to contact someone quickly.

Mutual aid
Covid Mutual Aid UK is a group of volunteers supporting local community groups organising mutual aid throughout the Covid-19 outbreak in the UK. They focus on providing resources and connecting people to their nearest local groups, willing volunteers and those in need. If you wish to join forces with a COVID-19 Mutual Aid group near you: more information can be found here:
